wow…so i’ve totally slacked on this blog…
been a week since i got back from mexico (mayan riviera!!). nothing has changed really except the fact that i have a tan!! and i’m much more relaxed, although i just got back from the AGO (art gallery of ontario) re-opening with my parents, and my mom pretty much kicked a lot of stress back in me
POOF! i just let it all go. no stress, stress is bad. i’m discovering more frequent white hairs lately…yikes.
my whole plan to quit my job is pretty much down the drain since i don’t yet have a backup and seriously am slacking on that too. something about coming back from vacation sorta put me in an even lazier mood…i guess i’m on a delay of some kind…we’ll see how i progress in another week. something about the food network (a tv channel here) that puts me in a trance. i crave food 24-7. even bought me all ingredients to make salsa and guacamole since i miss mexico so much!! i miss the totopos (fried tortilla chips) and cheese sauce at the 24 hour snack bar at our resort and the twist ice cream machine. so good!! i even told myself i wouldn’t turn on the tele when i got back, but that’s pretty much down the drain too…it’s everyday, and it’s so hard to turn off. last night i watched a movie with ewan mcgregor and ashley judd that was so weird and although it was time for bed i kept watching until finally i snapped out of it. i don’t even know what it was called, and i’m too lazy to google it. help!?
anyway, i had such a nice time on my trip (i recommend you all check out that area of mexico!!). there was so much to do, and a week was not long enough!! we did 3 tours: chichen itza (to see the pyramids/ruins)+cenote (where i took 10 or more minutes to jump from the stairs into the cenote)…so not proud about that…next day was snorkeling with the sea turtles+cave like/blue lagoonish cenote, and the next day was ATVing through the mayan jungle+cenote tour. it was so fun, and i was happy because michael and i shared a quad and he drove
so i was (sort of) relaxed.
we stayed at the gran bahia principe coba and it is basically 3 resorts (other two were the akumal and tulum), and we get access to all of them. it was huge, and there were these carts that were the shuttle for the resort. it was so convenient. the food and entertainment were excellent. i recommend this resort to anyone (coba side was the best i found). the best part was that we didn’t get sick and the weather was perfect!! worst part was getting attacked by mosquitoes. even still, i am ready to go back there already
pics are up on myspace, and the vids don’t work nicely with youtube (bad quality on the olympus stylus 790 SW for some reason). i could’ve had this post up earlier…
a pic for shoe heads, only one shot and it was blurry…it were converse painted by local artists in mexico…there was one with an eagle wing design that was out of this world. if only i had 2500 pesos and giant feet!!
i need to sleep, hopefully i actually wake up in the MORNING time. peace y’all.
